The100 Day Project- The Plan
“I might even be accused of overthinking this project before I even began. ”
When I first planned my project I spent a lot of time making lists of what my project should look like. Like, LOTS of lists. I might even be accused of overthinking this project before I even began.
Initially, I was going to work with four inch pieces of watercolor paper, use only papers from my scrap box and use a glue stick as an adhesive. My thought was that I could make this project portable and find time to work on these mini collages when I was waiting for my students to be dismissed for the day. I packed my materials into zippered bag that used to store my son’s diapers and tucked it into my backpack. At the last minute, while thinking of written content for Instagram posts, I decided to add in quotes about creativity to my project. Into my backpack went a book to read. This project was already getting a little heavy.
Then, I started to realize a few things about my project and my materials.
Glue sticks and watercolor paper aren’t a good match
A four inch piece of paper wasn’t too much fun to work on every day
I had lots of papers I wanted to use and most of them didn’t count as scraps
So, I let all my plans go and my project became a daily collage with a quote. This is when things got interesting.
