I am an abstract collage artist from Rhode Island who works with vintage materials—the ragged edges of worn book covers, the marks readers leave on pages, the forgotten scraps at the bottom of estate sale shelves that no one else wants.

My compositions emerge from how these materials respond to being salvaged. Paper tears, bleeds, wrinkles. I decide what to leave visible and what to layer over. I add typography through letterpress printing with vintage wooden type, abstracting bold letterforms until they become pure shape and rhythm within the composition.

This work is about transformation—giving discarded materials a second life. What was once beautiful becomes beautiful again, reimagined through collage. Before turning to art full-time, I taught middle school English — a background that shapes how I teach and how I think about materials and meaning. Each piece from Driftway Studio invites you to lean in, notice the small details, and perhaps remember something of your own past.
