Abstract Collage in Eight Minutes

A brief guide to creating an abstract sketchbook collage. No editing- just the process from start to finish.

I used two gel plate prints on vintage paper, created with one of my stencil designs from my line of typography-inspired stencils with Stencil Girl Products.

My thoughts as I created this piece were to utilize the bold circles in the prints, while incorporating enough collage elements to make the piece interesting in a new way.

Enjoy the ASMR of papers torn and cut. I didn’t narrate this video, as I have in the past, because I didn’t have a plan; it was truly an intuitive collage made in the moment. This is when collage becomes a meditative practice.
