These papers have been somewhere before. Ledger pages, book covers, old correspondence — layered into abstract compositions. Considered and still.

Each piece here is an original — an abstract collage and mixed-media work made in my Rhode Island studio from vintage materials salvaged from estate sales, antique shops, and the discard piles of other people's lives. Letterpress printing with antique wooden type adds a second layer: bold letterforms abstracted into shape and rhythm, pressed into the surface on a century-old press. Nothing here was made quickly. These are works for collectors who want something on their walls that rewards a longer look.
